Saint-Simeon's lush forests and the St. Lawrence River offer numerous activities and attractions including whale-watching cruises, rafting, kayaking, hunting, fishing, hiking and snowshoeing. Les Palissades and Via Ferrata offer rock climbing and mountain adventures, a unique area formed by glacial activity. Travel across the mighty St. Lawrence River via the M.V. Trans-Saint-Laurent ferry from Riviere-du-Loup and maybe catch a glimpse of whales during the summer. Other opportunities to learn about and observe whales is at the Eco-Musee de la Baleine et Galerie d'Art. Visitors can also stop at the small hamlet of Port-au-Persil to admire the houses perched on the hillside and the pottery workshop Poterie de Port-au-Persil.
